I have been on safari twice and I could see this book in action. I would have loved having Peter for my safari guide. I loved this book. I just could not put it down.

The vagaries of the animals, the tourists,the staff often lead to unpredictable situations that can only be met with the laughter of relief. Allison gives an honest and hilarious look at the non scheduled adventures that can happen in the bush. His passion for the animals and the land and his sense of responsibility for his guests always shine forth behind the humor.

I didn't want this book to end. I laughed so hard I cried. I hope Peter Allison shares more of his delightful stories in a follow up.

I laughed out loud a couple of times. I couldn't put the book down and learned things about Africa I never would have suspected or known. This is a very interesting book and well written. This guy's a good writer.
